After a successful debut launch, The Saturday Social Club is getting ready for its second installation featuring Fokofpolisiekar (or Polisiekar for the less-controversial), Sweet Resistance, 4AM and Six String Stories on June 9 at the Red Roman Shed, Emperors Palace.
The Saturday Social Club is a brand new series of music concerts taking place throughout the year at the Red Roman Shed. Presented by Rush Productions, the events will host an incredible mix of some of South Africa’s best musical talents, both established and up-and-coming. The 14 April launch event saw Six String Stories and Dirty Moonshine sharing the stage with headliners, Prime Circle.
Tickets cost R250 per person/per show and are available through Computicket or by contacting the Emperors Palace Box Office on 011 928 1297/1213 or visit www.emperorspalace.com. Doors open at 17h00. The South Africa VS England rugby match will be screened from 17h05 and the show starts at 19h00. Food and beverage stalls, including craft beers, will be available at the venue.
The third show line-up taking place on 4 August has been altered slightly with The Narrow continuing as headliners, but Wonderboom replace CrashCarBurn. Newtown Knife Gang and S.D.O will also be performing on the night.
