Seasoned musicians Brian Temba, Connel Cruise, Teboho Moloi and Gospel princess Mahalia Buchanan are set to headline the Gospel Spectacular hosted by the Joburg Theatre from the 13th April to the 23rd April. The 10-day event will be a magnificent showcase of South Africa’s top Gospel talent. The show is a feel-good wholesome show for the entire family, catering to all tastes within the genre.
Gospel is the best-selling and most popular music genre in South Africa and the Joburg Theatre is pleased to host this extravaganza. This musical feast is also brought in partnership with ATTV, presenting South Africa’s youthful and supreme talent, using their world-class technology which includes LED screens.
Among the musical greats, the show will host a big ensemble of 30 singers and dancers. The stars will perform a number of popular covers such as award-winning duo Mary Mary’s ‘Shackles’, ‘O Happy Day’, ‘You Raise Me Up’, ‘Malibongwe’, ‘Moya Wam’, ‘Joyful, Joyfu’l and many others. The artists will also get to perform some of their own songs.
The show is directed by the award-winning Andrew Timm and with choreography by Sandy Dyer and musical direction by Dale Scheepers.
