The highly anticipated show – Survival of the Funniest – hits Baxter Theatre, Concert Hall on 26 March 2022.
Local comedians, Thato Mabelane and Arlene Petersen have joined forces to bring their inaugural gut-busting comedy special, ‘Survival of the Funniest’, to Cape Town’s iconic Baxter Theatre Concert Hall this March for one evening of laughter medicine.
The sensational duo has been entertaining crowds around the Western Cape over the recent months and due to the popular demand have decided to host a one-night bumper special at the mother cities most spectacular theatre.
‘Survival of the Funniest’ is a curated show that takes audience members on a gut-busting journey through the diverse lives of both comics. Surviving the pandemic and unemployment in an industry hardest hit by ‘the-covid’, along with the usual challenges South African entertainers face.
Petersen and Mabelane have a magnetic presence on stage that will take you on a healing journey through laughter, and don’t we all need a dose of that? Both tackle relatable adversities this crazy time in our history has presented, and boy do they squeeze those lemons into a delicious G&T for the soul. A massive treat for audiences wanting to bury their daily woes with a healthy dose of laughter.
