Capetonian artist Kyle Shepherd co-presents the Youngblood Art & Culture Development Event “Aware: The Transient Beauty of Things”

Gallo Record Company artist Kyle Shepherd joins forces with Youngblood Art & Culture Development to present -´Aware: The Transient Beauty of Things´. The event will take place at the Youngblood Gallery in Cape Town on Thursday, 11 MAY 2017 at 8pm.
This will be a merger between creative forces featuring renowned pianist and composer Kyle Shepherd and Lindsey Appolis (Photographer) as they explore the city of Tokyo through sound and imagery.
During this innovative live performance, projections of Apollis´ powerful images of the city of Tokyo, Japan will provide a sonic canvass for Kyle Shepherd´s masterful pianism and sound design.
“Japan is the country I have most frequently toured to, so I´m really looking forward to exploring some sounds that evoke the city at the Youngblood Gallery in Cape Town, along with projections of Lindsey Appolis´ great photographs from his Tokyo series!!! I always love doing things outside of the clubs, concert halls and jazz world in general. The Youngblood gallery is a perfect space for these type of collaborations!” said Shepherd.
